Our English for Specific Purpose course (ESP) focus on industry-specific vocabulary and skills (such as, Writing, speaking or listening). Thereby, giving you the skills to perform successfully in in your specific, professional environment. We achieve this by teaching the necessary language through a variety of interactive tasks. These courses focus on developing language skills and functions. Specifically, the skills necessary to perform successfully in a variety of work contexts and situations. Our Intensive Course consists of 25 lessons. This is equivalent to 20 hours and 50 minutes, 20 of these lessons follow the same programme as the main course. The other 5 are taught in the afternoon. Our Main Course aims to improve general English. It consists of 20 lessons each week. This is equivalent to 16 hours and 40 minutes. It is intended for students of all nationalities and levels who need to improve their language for work or study. The courses are at levels from Beginner ( A0) to Advanced (C1). This course can provide a quick boost to the student’s language over a short period, or it can be joined for a longer period to provide a long-term change in proficiency or as preparation for an academic preparation course such as IELTS. General English is a full time, 15 hour/20 lessons per week course which aims to give you confidence in communicating in an English speaking environment. The course is taught in weekly modules focusing on the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing whilst covering essential grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and common English phrases. General English is designed for students who wish to improve their ability to communicate in English while experiencing the vibrancy and excitement of Liverpool. The 25-hour course includes General English in the morning, Communication Skills from 13.00-14.00 and a final hour of Examination Skills from 14.30-15.30. This course will maximise your study time in the UK and ensure that you improve your English very quickly. General English practices all skills including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Communication Skills provides extra practice on speaking, vocabulary and listening via a different topic every day. Examination Skills concentrates on offering advice and practice to help you pass the exam best suited to your level in English. This hour helps improve general academic skills as well.
